Stage 32 and London Rolling Film Festival Launch International Filmmaker Development Partnership
Stage 32 and the London Rolling Film Festival (LRFF) have announced a new international partnership aimed at expanding access to professional training and career development for independent filmmakers.
The initiative will see every filmmaker submitting to the 16th edition of the London Rolling Film Festival receive complimentary access to a Stage 32 educational webinar and a Stage 32 certification course, providing training from working film and television professionals.
The partnership builds on discussions that began during the 2026 Marché du Film in Cannes, where the collaboration was introduced during the official conference Women in Film: Building Collective Power – How Women Across the Industry Shape Influence in Film, presented by Yes She Cannes in partnership with Entertainment to Affect Change (E2AC).
According to the organisations, the initiative responds to the increasingly international nature of film financing, production and distribution by offering filmmakers opportunities to develop industry knowledge beyond the festival circuit.
Stage 32’s educational programme includes contributions from professionals working across major film and television productions, including Paramount executive Shalonda Ware, Miranda Carnessale, whose credits include Barbie and Killers of the Flower Moon, Brad Carpenter (The Diplomat, Tokyo Vice, Boardwalk Empire) and Mike Fantasia, whose credits include Top Gun: Maverick.
Amanda Toney, Managing Director of Stage 32, said the collaboration is designed to help filmmakers access education, professional networks and career development opportunities that extend beyond their local markets.
London Rolling Film Festival Founder and Festival Director Alida Pantone said the partnership aligns with the festival’s wider commitment to supporting filmmakers beyond screenings by providing access to industry education and professional training.
Founded in London, the London Rolling Film Festival is now preparing for its 16th edition, continuing its focus on independent filmmaking through screenings, networking events, industry discussions and filmmaker development initiatives.
Stage 32 has a community of more than 1.5 million creatives across over 190 countries and provides online education, professional certification, networking opportunities and career resources for film, television and digital media professionals.
The 16th edition of the London Rolling Film Festival will take place from 17 to 21 September 2026 in central London. Supported by main sponsor Palm Tree Films, the festival will bring together filmmakers, producers, financiers, distributors and other industry professionals.
Film submissions remain open via FilmFreeway until 23 July 2026.
