Born in the suburbs of London 8 years ago, edition after edition the London Rolling Film Festival has grown in size and quality, giving independent filmmakers a bespoke platform where grow their connections and supporters.

This Festival, unique in its kind, sees the presence of professionals who have worked on the selected short films. In fact, the presence of directors is mandatory for the participation and screening of the film during the Festival, thus making the event a valuable opportunity for contact and exchange between professionals in the sector and not.

This aspect of networking has always been fundamental for the founder, the Italian actress and producer Alida Pantone: “Allowing emerging filmmakers to create that network of knowledge essential to grow their projects has always been at the heart of the Festival. This is why I have always tried to attract an audience of film industry enthusiasts and professionals at all levels: investors, directors, producers, costume designers, actors, machinists etc. This is what makes the LRFF unique”.

Several prestigious guests, professionals from the world of cinema and television, have alternated during the various editions of the Festival that this year have seen the presence of Mike Smith, documentary producer for the BBC, Channel 4, Channel 5, ITV, Smithsonian Channel and PBS, Nominated for 2 Grierson Awards for One Thousand Years a Slave and Ashley Banjo: Britain in Black & White.

Congratulations to all the winners and runners up!
