Saturday, 8 March 2025 – Royal Albert Hall

The Royal Albert Hall will host a special event on International Women’s Day, celebrating 15 years of WOW – Women of the World. The evening features a conversation with legendary activist Angela Davis and WOW Founder Jude Kelly, focusing on love in activism, hope, healing, the blues, and future aspirations.

Angela Davis, known for her historical impact on activism and her journey from being on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted list to becoming a celebrated speaker, will share her insights and experiences. The discussion is set to provide a deep dive into significant social and cultural themes.

Musical highlights of the evening include performances by organist Anna Lapwood and the world premieres of compositions by Errollyn Wallen and Isobel Waller-Bridge. Notably, a 150-strong choir, ranging in age from 8 to 80, will debut a new choral piece by Errollyn Wallen, commissioned to celebrate WOW’s 15th anniversary.
