Winter Lights Festival Illuminates Canary Wharf with Art and Nature
Canary Wharf welcomes back the magical Winter Lights festival from January 17th to 27th, 2024, daily from 5-10pm. In its eighth edition, the festival offers a journey through 12 spectacular temporary installations and permanent light artworks, showcasing innovative light artists globally.
The trail includes installations like “Sign” at Westferry Circus, “Marbles” at Wren Landing, and “Submergence” at Montgomery Square. These installations represent a blend of nature and technology, offering both stimulation and tranquility.
Alongside, visitors can experience the “Peace Poem” at Adams Plaza, “Vessels” in Crossrail Place Roof Garden, and witness live music performances.
For a delightful culinary experience, pop-up food markets will serve street food and hot drinks. Jubilee Park hosts fire pits for marshmallow toasting, and various cafes and restaurants offer booking options for meals and cocktails.
Canary Wharf’s ice rink adds to the festive atmosphere. The event is free, with maps available online or from event stewards. It’s recommended to visit during the week due to weekend crowds.
