“The Magic Bookmark”: An Enchanting Panto Adventure Awaits at The Bridge House Theatre

This December, The Bridge House Theatre in Penge welcomes the enchanting pantomime “The Magic Bookmark” presented by Petite Pantos, featuring the beloved pantomime dame and Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalist Mama G. Running from December 12th to 16th, this award-winning show promises a delightful experience for the entire family.

Audiences will join Mama G on a captivating journey to reclaim stolen books from the malevolent Book Worm, discovering three books along the way that could change the world for the better. The show combines engaging storytelling, interactive fun, song, dance, puppetry, and some of the most charming children’s books, including titles like “You Need to Chill” and “The Frog’s Kiss”.

“The Magic Bookmark” features original songs by comedian Katie Pritchard and puppetry by Magic Light Productions, weaving a magical tale that earned the 2023 Greater Manchester Fringe Audience Choice Award. The show aims to introduce important topics to children, with a resource pack available to help families explore these themes further.

Mama G, a seasoned panto professional, brings her unique storytelling flair to the show. With her mantra “be who you want and love who you are,” she creates a world of inclusiveness and embraces differences, making “The Magic Bookmark” a must-see this holiday season.

The show runs from December 12th to 15th at 5 pm, and on December 16th at 7 pm.
