“Rosie’s Brain” Set to Premiere at The Hope Theatre

4 – 8 February 2025 – The Hope Theatre, London

This February, The Hope Theatre will host the premiere of “Rosie’s Brain,” a new musical comedy crafted by Evelyn Rose, who is responsible for the writing, composition, production, and performance of the show. A recent graduate of the MA Music Theatre Course at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Rose introduces audiences to a one-woman show that promises to offer a humorous yet poignant look at battling anxiety and OCD.

The narrative follows Rosie, a young woman whose life has been overshadowed by anxiety. As she embarks on her college journey, she encounters severe fears around dating that inhibit even basic physical contact like holding hands. The plot thickens as Rosie decides to tackle her fears head-on by engaging in therapy, aiming to confront her fear of intimacy and navigate her mental health challenges.

“Rosie’s Brain” aims to explore the complexities of mental health through a blend of laughter and earnest storytelling, charting a journey towards self-belief and resilience. The production is directed by Josh Vaatstra and Lucrezia Galeone, with Laoise Fleming serving as the musical director, all of whom are fellow alumni of Royal Central School.

The show runs from Tuesday to Saturday, with performances beginning at 7:45 pm. Ticket prices are set at £18 for standard admission and £16 for concessions, with a special preview on the 4th of February available at just £10.
