Please Shoot The Messenger Opens at The Hope Theatre

Please Shoot The Messenger Brings Comedy and Chaos to Camden Fringe

A new solo comedy by Rachael Dowsett hits the stage this summer as Please Shoot The Messenger premieres at The Hope Theatre in Islington, running from 13 to 15 August 2025 as part of the Camden Fringe Festival.

Written and performed by LAMDA Acting graduate Rachael Dowsett, and directed by Jacob Proctor, the show blends physical comedy, bold characters and a dash of Shakespearean flair. Set in a kingdom gripped by plague, a newly appointed royal messenger must deliver the cure — all while facing a job that may be cursed.

Promising a mix of clowning, chaos, and heartwarming determination, Please Shoot The Messenger explores perseverance and optimism in the face of adversity.

📍 Venue: The Hope Theatre, 207 Upper Street, London N1 1RL
🎭 Dates: 13–15 August, 7:00pm
🎟️ Tickets: £16 / £14 concessions
