Noah Pantano’s Pup Play at Camden Fringe

From 12 to 16 August 2025, performer and academic Noah Alfred Pantano presents Pup Play: A Queer Pseudo-Lecture (of Sorts) at the Baron’s Court Theatre as part of Camden Fringe. Performances begin at 7:30pm nightly.

A multi-award-winning and internationally toured solo show, Pup Play mixes comedy, kink, multimedia, and political theatre in a format that is part lecture, part performance art. Pantano plays Handler David, a character who leads the audience through an unconventional system known as YELPS, exploring the queer kink of pup play—and much more.

Described as “brutal, unapologetic queerness” and “a must for the adventurous”, the show includes punk music, projection, puppets, audience participation, and moments of heartfelt introspection. It has received both standing ovations and walkouts—something Pantano embraces as part of the work’s mission to provoke, challenge, and entertain.

Pup Play was developed during Pantano’s PhD in Theatre Studies at the University of Essex and has already raised over £1,000 for LGBTQ+ charities. Previous appearances include festivals in Orlando, Tampa, and Colchester, where it earned multiple awards.
