Covid-19 doesn’t stop the London Rolling Film Festival

Covid-19 doesn’t stop the creative minds behind independent films, nor the Film Festivals celebrating them, like the London Rolling Film Festival.

Artist all over the world are getting more creative than ever to keep entertaining the world. Social media are filled with artist giving performances, reading poems, sharing their works. And more and more filmmakers are working on new films using what they can.

The independents seems to be more productive than ever and the London Rolling Film Festival doesn’t wanna let them down. That’s why its Director, Alida Pantone, decided to go on with the Festival “X Tour” in program for this year and she also announced the Festival’s next edition in a recent press release.

In this period of uncertainty and necessary physical isolation – says Pantone – we think it is very important to remain positive and continue to work on our projects in view of a better future. This is why we announce the new edition of the London Rolling Film Festival, which will be held in London from 19 to 21 February 2021.”

Submissions opened for early birds on April 15th 2020 and it will be possible to submit short films, films, documentaries, music and experimental videos until November 15th 2020 exclusively through the online platform FilmFreeway.com.

The novelty of the XI edition is the introduction in competition of the “feature films” category.

The 2020 world tour celebrating the X edition has been rearranged into a virtual tour: an international Jury of industry professionals from all over the world will judge the selected films online via FilmFreeway and their final decision will be announced during an Award Ceremony that will be held in London as soon as the Covid-19 emergency will allow.

The cities virtually reached will be: Los Angeles, New York, St.Petersburg (Florida), Cannes, Berlin, Venice, Bangkok, Sydney, Byron Bay and London.
