Cirque du Soleil presents Corteo at the Royal Albert Hall: A Dreamlike Spectacle
9 January – 2 March 2025 – Royal Albert Hall
Cirque du Soleil celebrates 40 years of theatrical brilliance with Corteo, marking the occasion at the Royal Albert Hall starting this January. The show offers a unique staging that transforms the hall into an intimate, immersive experience, featuring acrobatics that blend illusion with reality in a breathtaking display.
Corteo brings the dream of Mauro, a clown, to life as he imagines his own carnival-like funeral watched by angels. This parade is a fantastical celebration of life, juxtaposing the grand with the intimate, the absurd with the poignant. The audience is drawn into a world that balances the ridiculous with the tragic, and the perfection with charming imperfections, showcasing Cirque du Soleil’s renowned creativity and theatrical innovation.
The show includes stunning aerial acts, with performers swinging from chandeliers and floating above the audience, creating a spectacle of awe and wonder. Corteo highlights the strength, fragility, wisdom, and kindness of the clown character, reflecting the humanity in us all.
Suitable for all ages, Corteo has been experienced by over 10 million people worldwide and now graces London’s iconic Royal Albert Hall. This production is a celebration of the impossible made possible, where seeing truly is believing.
